a's new do

Here are Aidan's before and after- what do you think?

Do you like how I attempted advertiser's use of lighting and emotion to sway your vote?

Well, his new hair is a huge improvement to this smeagol look-a-like!

why did the duck cross the road?

To get to the kids with the bread of course! We have been having such great weather lately! We walk the park and swing and then venture to the land of the ducks, around the senior retirement area to wave to the old folks and their dogs on pink spangled leashes- wave again at any school bus that may happen across our path and then home for a nap. The short ones anyway! We are getting ready for... dun, dun , dun... Gramma Donna and Bill to arrive!!! Hoorah

what the heck!

OK, Alexander is old, OK? He likes to hang out under the trees in the backyard when its sunny. He's old and going deaf and has crooked front legs (since birth) OK? Today the police came to the door (while my parents were babysitting) and said there have been complaints of abuse toward Alexander- his legs aren't right. Great. Last week when it was sunny a guy came by saying he was non-responsive, and then two women came by fearing the worst for poor old Alexander. I say thank you to them- but really people, the police?? And they left him food of some sort (which I'm sure he's probably allergic to) and water in cottage cheese container and old food containers just inside the fence. Today, after my class, I posted a sign to all interested park-goers regarding our pets. Gad.

clomp clomp clomp

This kid cracks me up. PS No, these are not new shoes- just the first time wearing them naked!

life goes by so quickly

So, in the past week, we've spent time with Uncle Sara and Wills, I taught my new art class, my 97 year old grandpa died, we got ants upstairs, Henry learned to sign milk, Aidan started hitting me and I made a giant bouquet for our yard debris pick-up man. Both boys think they don't need naps, Libby wrote with great news, twice someone has stopped by the house to ask me to check on my "non responsive" dog (Alexander laying in the sun) and we bought tiny sandals for the little ones. Next is LOBSTERFEST, Michael can't wait!

Sammy and I have been working on her photo assignment for art class. A portion of the images "focus" on shape. We chose the circle. Enjoy!

freaky friday

Tonight, under the bright lights of the Expo Center, we had a date with the boys at the Sportsman's Show. The boy's first "man, dead animal, camper-trailer, stinky fish tank, boat extravaganza, jerky hut event". I don't usually attend- but it just seemed right to be there to witness their first taste of a soft pretzel, their first entry into a drawing for a free fly rod and hearing Aidan talk to all the hunting dogs was great! We were there for hours, planned for Michael's special Alaska fishing trip and waved hi to the masses.
