swim baby, swim!!

Megan, Aidan and Sammy in the kiddy pool at the club. Our little man loves all the attention and the chance to putter around the pool! Like A's little swimming tent? Gotta protect whitey.

After all that sweemin' you gotta refuel. Hank was there too and dipped his toes in- but no suits small enough for little curly top- so he hung out in the shade with Steph whilst I did the documenting. Thanks to Sammy and Megan and Steph for the fun day at the club! Hope to see you all there again soon!

the week in review (so far)

Today we went to camp! Here, Bri and Nicole give the boys some summer lovin'.
Workin' at the car wash uh! Mr Cheeks checks out the pretty soap. No photoshop here! For those of you that take your car to the car wash less frequently than I- soap is applied to your car by squeezing little fairies 'till they shoot rainbows on you! No wonder it costs so much.

The boyz and I left the hood! We met up with Shelaileigh and explored the Hillsboro Tuesday Market together. It was very fun- you should go!

Ocho was at the market too! He has his own food stand-with people lined up! Evidently they know him as the real mexican.

warming up to brotherly love

Aidan's signature move- the trachiotomy.

Hank recovers well and counters with a left jab. Aidan shrinks a few inches.

Grins must mean everythings gonna be a-ok with these boys.

last night with the ladies...

Sienna (age 2) very happy with her evening spent with cutie-pie Aidan. She sure put a smile on our boys face.

Crawling away from an adoring fan...
(a note from mama- honey, go back... get that girl's number!!)

OK, after Sienna left, Auntie Mary filled A's glass a few times- with Michael's approval! We had a quiet ride home from the Auntie's house!

gettin' buggy

Henry looks as though he's trying to out-bug the bug!

the zoo? no, the mall!

Arthur, Henry, Aidan and I went to the mall today instead of the zoo. Too rainy. We spent too much money and ate mall food. Henry and Aidan took turns being naughty- and Uncle Arthur bought them toys!

three to a seat

Well, we proved it could work! Sarah D. and I got together and took our babies out into the world. Three car seats do fit in the back seat of the Rover.
Silas (six weeks) Aidan (11 months) and Henry (three and a half months) happy as clams!

christmas in july

Sweet Ocho wearing Aidan's Christmas jammies. This boy sure grows fast!

mah-jong-a-ding-dong!

OK, you can't see Jennifer, but Arthur is assisting her as they play Mary, William and Michael late into the night. Auntie Debb watched Hank and I watched Aidan- they were up and active way past their bed time.

William keeps an eye on Aidan and the Empire State Building.

ummm, the zoo and omsi in one day?

Celebrity sighting: Ken Boddie- KOIN TV

It can be done!! Henry and Aidan checked out the lights at OMSI tonight for the first time! We saw Body Worlds 3- until Aidan decided he liked the sound of his voice echoing throughout the exhibition hall. We got a few looks- so we buzzed through at the end. Favorite quotes: "Why did they make his fat look like a pork chop?" and "Dad, I never knew our lungs were so big!"

Uncle Sean got up and went to the zoo with us. We found the naked mole rats and saw some lovely hippos sun bathing! Did you know nmr's have whiskers? That doesn't=naked to me. Evidently this giraffe just got a new lawn ornament. Any comments?

frozen anti-oxidents anyone?

Aidan smiles around a treat of frozen blueberries. Why didn't I invent this blasted eating tool? It works great for new baby teeth.

training day

Attention ladies and gents- the west side's only baby tiger trainer thrills the crowds of little ladies with his amazing feats of bravery. Aidan is getting ready for October. Hee hee.

scotty potty doodle all the day comes for a birthday visit!

Grandma and Grandpa and Uncle Scott came over and visited during the thunder and lightning show on Thursday night. Uncle Sean broke his wrist on Monday night playing soccer. Boo. He gets to wear a cast!

cannon beach or bust

Today we drove to Cannon Beach with Steph, Sammy and her cousin, Anna who is in town this week. We had lunch at Mo's and enjoyed the cooler coastal weather. We walked and shopped and had caffine. All is right with the world.

Anna and Sammy.

Sammy sharing A's sucky.

Steph and a leggy Henry.

dinner out with friends

Matt gets a smile from Aidan, but Nola doesn't seem quite sure she wants to share her dad. We had dinner tonight at the Rogue Brew Pub after a minor mishap at REI. Smiles everyone, smiles!

Mel and Nola bugaboo their way to the fountain.

Michael and the boys cruise the Pearl with BOB.

breakin' it down with nola!

Today, Aidan discovered what a collaboration sounds like!

yep... zoo day!

Today it was super nice at the zoo (except for waiting in the long line to get in).
The black bear was resting,
the otters frolicking,
the butterflies fluttered,
the polar bear danced,
the redtail hawks soared,
the sea urchins urched,
the billygoats gruffed,
and the gibbons picked stuff off of each others faces.
Michael and Jennifer both had the day off,
so we three walked and talked and the boys loved it-
especially taking a break in the shade for a nice bottle of formula.Henry was smiling at Jennifer so much, he forgot to finish!
Thanks for coming today you guys! Next time, no sugar.
(Don't forget to click 'em to see 'em big)

beating the heat

OK, this is officially the biggest smile yet. I think A is smiling so hard because I finally found the perfect combo of things to do on a hot afternoon. #1 splashing, #2 uh splashing, #3... thinking about splashing.

the boys of summer wish you a happy fourth of july!

If you can't tell, that is a Hostess apple pie in my hand and a baseball on Aidan's bootie- we left the hot dogs in the fridge. (Nice triangular composition my sweet! Sure hope Uncle Arthur notices how sporty we are in this pic!)

3, 3, 3 month visit!

Tonight we met Carissa and her mom, Christie in Beaverton for Henry's three month visit. We all had a good time. Well, Aidan used his outside voice (which is ok since we were outside!) to get any attention he could scrape up from the other patrons.

This is Christie's first time seeing Henry since we took him home.
Carissa said one of her friend's babies was fixin to marry Henry. I unabashadly said, "Oh, my boys are spoken for!"- Which took her for a loop- but then I explained all about Nola and Aidan and Willa and Henry and Christie said Willa was a nice name-and Nola too, so it would be all right. Carissa just said- oh. I guess we're all just figuring out this situation.

two reasons to celebrate!

To celebrate Henry's three month birthday, we ate second breakfast out on the deck and took a walk in the park- where Henry fell asleep.

Aidan says, "pinch your head!" Look... Yep! It's a second tooth!

thursday, friday, saturday...

Let's move out to the country! The song is always on our minds. Especially after a nice drive to Aramenta and Grochau Cellars.
Here we are on Saturday enjoying a walk around Lenne Winery with BOB and the boys. That Willakenzie soil sure makes for a nice view!

Friday brought our ususal trip to the zoo in the morning. We had a few sprinkles, but enjoyed seeing the otters, goats, black bear and elephants before the BIG black clouds shooed us to our cars.
Polar Bears playing with weighted pool toys, butterflies and friends- what a great day to be at the zoo!
Here, Sammy is hauling Aidan through the butterfly exhibit. She pointed out all the butterflies she could find to an eager Aidan. She certainly earned that elephant ear today! Miss Willa and Sara came to the zoo today, too! Willa told us the ancient story of how black bear pulled the clouds across the sky. (I think)

Thursday morning we went to Bob's in the BOB and Henry picked out plants from behind his eyelids.

Aidan discovers the dog door while exploring with Arlo. Bye-bye baby!
