And to think - 7 or 8 or 9 years ago - those tickers that counted the money had been turned off....change can not come soon enough
Besides the heartache and waste, a thing that continues not to make sense to me, is that we all knew that W. wanted to go into this war and that he intended to. Not a secret......and the citizens of this country re-elected him anyway. I'd be tempted to say we deserve what we got when more of us did this than didn't, except that little kids don't deserve to be without parents, parents without young adult children. But why are we as a country so gullible? Someone looks tough on TV one day, and polls swing in his direction, because he 'looks presidential'.......how about what he does, what he wants? Who gives a rip how he LOOKS?
